Illusion

Idealized Someone,

Never knew before,

Seemed familiar,

Yet very distinct.

Befriended me,

Guided me,

Corrected me,

And held me tight.

Failed to recognise,

Always running from truth,

Pushing to work hard,

Taught self confidence.

Alas stood far away,

Watching me succeed,

Once satisfied,

Disappeared from light,

But promised to return.

Finally the day came,

When we met again,

Walking along with me,

As it lived within me.
