A change: Is it new or old
Change, we all look for a change within ourselves. Sometimes it may just be starting a new hobby or it might be rekindling an old hobby. There was a moment in my life that held me back, commonly known as writer's block. This stage any writer can face but pushing out of it is very difficult. Today it's all about walking through a memory lane and seeing the process on a personal scale.
It is said writing and reading helps but have we wondered do they really help? It is always a strange pull that pushes you back at full force and never lets you move forward. When I first heard about writer's block it sounded a bit funny till reality hit hard.
How does it happen? Is it sudden or is it just a suppression? I still find no answer within myself but always look forward to overcoming it. Is it just me or do a lot of writers face it? The answer is yes a lot of writers do have a moment in their life where they are stuck but the experiences may totally differ from each other. Having an idea but the medium of expression blanks out leaving a speechless mind.
Is it scary? Yes, it is as it ignites a fear and helplessness of why and how. The helplessness of losing something that once was a strength and later on losing that very strength.
Can it be overcome? Yes, it can but it takes time for different people. Some take weeks, some months or some even years. After a long gap, the writer starts from the very basics like a child, slowly growing and growing. It might be difficult in the beginning but as time passes it slowly transforms into a part of self (that is 'me').
