Echos of the bygone years
Walking along the road of Mcc I go back to my first year of college when I was fresh out of school and unaware of the world outside. Being in MCC for five years taught me a lot which will be a teacher to me for a long time. When I look back like most of us I would like to go through my first year once again. As a fresher, I was excited to take part in almost all the events conducted within the college premises.
I remember having a tight schedule of practices and backstage work for cultural programs where I rarely slept at night but I never regretted those days as it was another form of experience. The events were always so vibrant and the paths were full of students running around. The gutters were the place where we sat and talked for hours telling stories. There were also times when we got lost in the forest but somehow found a way back.
Another beautiful experience would be when I was part of the Heber Chapel choir. I always waited every week for practices as I loved singing which I found after attending the first practise session. We had choir trips and concerts which helped us to see places and meet new people. The exposure that we get to the world outside helps us understand the environment where we currently live so all those small experiences helped to learn a lot more than when I sat with my gadgets.
There were so many beautiful moments that I still remember and thought that if I could go back in time I would relive every moment. It was not always rainbows and sunshine but still, it was something that built me to be ready for the future. No matter how long the time flies those days remain as if it were yesterday. Time flies, it doesn't wait so we need to live in the present to tell stories in the future.
