Hidden beauty
What is beauty and how are women associated with beauty? When we look at society in general a fair-skinned woman is considered more beautiful than a dark-skinned woman. And beauty is often associated with external factors. The media and advertisements portray beautiful women fully covered in cosmetics and other artificiality.
The obsession with beauty is very external. A woman desperately trying to look 'beautiful' with cosmetics slowly losing their natural essence. We often use the quote "Don't judge a book by its cover" isn't that what people do? They do not have the patience to understand a human but rather judging them based on external appearance is very convenient.
Today let's talk about beauty in the poem " She Walks in Beauty" by Lord Byron. This poem not only focuses on physical beauty but also the inner beauty of a woman.
Her beauty is compared to nature, portraying the natural beauty and grace that she carries with her. The contrast between night and day to describe her beauty brings out an ethereal image of the lady. Apart from external beauty her inner soul is pure just like an innocent child. The pureness of her soul is reflected externally. She stands out among a lot of people with just a smile that melts the hearts of others.
Beauty is a natural factor and it needs to be effortless and real. I believe every woman possesses a rare beauty that is unique and more precious than the rarest gem.
